The learning lab series are bite-sized educational videos created by credible professionals, providing you with practical tips and information. The financial learning workbench is constantly evolving with new material added regularly so it’s a good idea to check in every now and then to see what is new.

Estate Planning Tools

  • Create an online Will or bring your own and maintain it with an annual Will update: Create your Will online with us using a fill-in-the-blank template then submit it to our professional Will drafters. When you get it back, check, sign, and witness it using our checklist.  If you already have a Will, you can store it in the digital vault along with other important documents. Each year on your account anniversary you’ll receive a notification that your annual update is available. You can then update your Will to reflect any life changes by using our platform with no added cost or choose to continue with your original provider.

  • Professional drafters: Once your Will is submitted to us, it’s reviewed by one of our professional Will drafters who then turn it into an official document for you to sign and have witnessed.

  • Physical storage: We can physically store your original Will in a flood and earthquake proof facility. Once it’s complete just post it to us at:

    Footprint NZ Ltd

    Freepost Authority 256499

    PO Box 301637 Albany

    Auckland 0752, New Zealand

  • Will notifications: Send a notification to whomever you choose to let them know your Will is stored in your digital vault and/or physically in our offsite location. They can’t get access to it but when the time comes, your executor will be able to which is all part of their executor duties.

  • Consultation for complex Wills: If our system identifies that your situation requires a complex Will (this is less than 1% of our customers), we’ll refer you to our sister company Perpetual Guardian for a consultation. They will discuss your needs and advise you of costs, as a Footprint customer you will automatically get a $50 discount.

Encrypted security

All information that is passed between you and Footprint (including our online Will service) is authenticated and encrypted using 2048-bit Secure Socket Layer encryption. We use Go Daddy to provide this service.

This means that if your data or information is intercepted on its way to us, then it would be completely unintelligible. The internet browser shows a padlock in the address bar before the website address meaning the information is securely encrypted.

Special offers, discount & continuation option

Because we are all about looking after families, we provide you with exclusive access to estate planning offers as well as a friends and whānau discount on our retail products. If you change jobs you can still continue with a Footprint account through one of our retail products at a discounted rate.
